The Purple Room Open Mic at the Cube is an open mic for all artistic styles and skill levels. Musicians, poets, writers, comedians, magicians, dancers, and anyone else with something to say or do can sign up and hit the stage.

The Purple Room returns to Old Market Square for our 9th summer! We'll be at the Cube for 8 Monday nights from 7-10 PM (sign up at 6:30), starting June 29 and ending on August 31.

We will take 2 Mondays off during this stretch: July 20 while the Winnipeg Fringe takes over Old Market Square and August 3 for Terry Fox Day.

Performing musicians get 2 songs (~10 minutes) and all other performers get 5 to 7 minutes. Many of our 2026 summer open mics will be livestreamed!

From regular performers and audience members to those just wandering by Old Market Square and checking out a few performances, it's an anticipated recurring event for many in the Winnipeg arts community. We can't wait to see you all.
